A heartfelt thank you to our speakers and everyone who joined us at Stormont to mark the 10-year anniversary of Anyone’s Child: Families for Safer Drug Control.
One of the most moving moments of the evening was the display of 2,815 hand-crafted forget-me-not flowers — each one representing a life lost to a preventable drug-related death in Northern Ireland between 1999 and 2025. Every flower a person. Every loss a family, a community.
This powerful tribute reminded us why we came together: to call for a new, compassionate approach to drug policy — one that prioritises health, dignity, and human rights.
The event was part of the Support Don’t Punish Global Day of Action, alongside thousands across 85+ countries, demanding better responses to drug use.
Let’s keep pushing for change. These lives must not be forgotten.
